DP2A gets the Detroit Film Theatre to themselves for a private viewing of the 2012 Oscar-Nominated Short Films.

Back by popular demand, this destination gives you a great reason to dress up like an Old Hollywood star or starlet and see and be seen on the red carpet.

If you are unable to attend this event, you may redeem your ticket for any one of the following screenings of the Oscar-Nominated Shorts, subject to the availability of that screening. Simply present your enclosed ticket at the box office on the desired exchange date. Due to the popularity of the Oscar-nominated shorts and limited seating, we suggest you call the box office at 313-833-7887 to confirm space is available.

PASSPORT HOLDER ITINERARY

6:00 pm- Red Carpet Reception and DP2A Will-Call Table Opens
Walk the red carpet and pose for a photo. Pick up your reserved tickets at the DP2A will-call table and get your third passport stamp.

7:15 pm- Pre-Screening welcome with DFT Film Curator Elliot Wilhelm

7:30 pm- Showing of Oscar-Nominated Short Films
View a combination of the 2011 live-action and animated nominated short films selected by the DP2A Steering Committee. There will be a Best Dressed contest during intermission to show off your glamorous attire. The films will show for approximately 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. Seating is general admission.

9:45 pm- After-Party Begins
Passport holders and guests will enjoy an Old Hollywood-themed after-party complete with appetizers, drinks and live music in Prentis Court.

Use the DFT parking vouchers you received in the mail to park in the Museum parking lot that is located directly opposite the DFT entrance on John R Street. MAP

Wasabi Korean and Japanese Restaurant

The menu offers a range of Japanese and Korean entrees, with sushi as a main attraction. The restaurant is open from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm on Thursday and is located at 15 East Kirby Street, Detroit, MI 48202.
