Detroit Symphony Orchestra at Orchestra Hall

Detroit Passport to the Arts Destination #1 brings you to Spain for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and Rodrigo’s haunting Concierto de Aranjuez with guitar sensation Xuefei Yang, all under the baton of guest conductor Joana Carneiro. Enjoy a diverse classical concert of Russian, Argentinean and Spanish music then stay for the Spanish-themed after-party.

Starting Wednesday, October 26, you may reserve your tickets by calling the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Box Office at (313) 576-5111.
Helpful Reservation Tips:
- State that you are a DP2A Passport holder and include the names of other Passport holders with whom you wish to sit.
- Make sure to mention any seating requests to the box office when reserving your tickets.
- Confirm the number of tickets you are reserving.
- Pick up your tickets at the DP2A check-in table on the night of the performance.

6:30pm – DP2A Will Call Table Opens
Pick up your reserved tickets and get your first passport stamp of the season. Please note: the DP2A will call table is separate from the DSO Box Office windows.
7:00pm – Pre-Performance Talk
Gain insight to the performance at a complimentary pre-performance talk, located in Orchestra Hall. The pre-performance talk lasts 30 minutes.
8:00pm – Performance
Joana Carneiro conducts the DSO in three eclectic pieces.

The concert is located in Orchestra Hall and lasts 90 minutes, including a 20 minute intermission.
9:30pm - After-Party Begins
Join all DP2A passport holders in the Music Box for a Spanish fiesta, complete with Spanish wine, tapas, and flamenco. Holiday Catering will provide the tapas spread, while the performers of El Alma Espanola will delight us with flamenco music and dancing. The after-parties are also great networking opportunities. We will be raffling off DSO tickets and other fun prizes!
DRINK VOUCHER: You will receive one complimentary drink voucher for a glass of Spanish wine at the after-party in your will call ticket envelope.
9:45pm - Backstage Tour
There will be a backstage tour of Orchestra Hall, but space is limited to 25 people and is offered first come, first served!

The Max is located at 3711 Woodward Avenue, between Mack and Warren. Valet Parking is available for most concerts directly in front of The Max on Woodward Avenue for $12. Parking is available for $7 in the Orchestra Place Parking Structure located on Parsons just south of The Max. Handicap parking is available.

Union Street Saloon: Since the 1970s, Union Street Saloon has been one of the top places to be seen in Detroit providing a friendly and comfortable environment. Restaurant open 4:00pm to 10:00pm, bar open until 2:00am. Located at 4145 Woodward Avenue.
The Whitney: Detroit’s most iconic mansion, The Whitney specializes in award-winning cuisine with unique presentation and unforgettable flavors. Restaurant open 5:00pm to 10:00pm, Ghostbar open 5:00pm to 2:00am. Located at 4421 Woodward Avenue.
